Gisella Vetere is a Full Professor of Neuroscience at the ESPCI PSL in Paris. She earned her Master's degree in Neurobiology from "La Sapienza" University in Rome and her PhD in Neuroscience in "Tor Vergata" Rome University. Following her doctoral studies, she pursued postdoctoral research at "Sick Childre" Hospital in Toronto, Canada. Her training is in behavioural, cellular and systems neuroscience, with a specific focus on learning and memory. In investigating these topics they have taken advantage of techniques such as optogenetics, chemogenetics, graph theory analysis of whole-brain networks, in vivo imaging using miniaturized microscopes and confocal microscopy.
